Guest Lecture at the Erasmus University Rotterdam

Professor Egon Berghout invited me to give a guest lecture on the Economics of ICT Management for his final year Economics & Informatics students.

The lecture was based on my most recent publication and can be summarised as:
- The Netherlands has high ICT spendings but a low contribution to national productivity; the challenge is ‘do more with less’
- The costs for ICT Management are far higher than ICT Development costs
- The benefits of ICT Management can be expressed as balancing conservation and improvement
- Business IS Management has the most influence on economic aspects in theory but is often the weakest link
